Bachelor of Biblical Studies (BBS)

A 33-Credit Advanced Ministry Degree

The Bachelor of Biblical Studies (BBS) program at AMES Christian University is designed for students who desire to deepen their understanding of Scripture and prepare for effective Christian ministry.

This advanced degree builds upon previous biblical or college-level education and focuses on practical ministry training combined with strong biblical foundations.

Students will complete eleven (11) courses in a chosen ministry concentration, earning 33 credit hours toward the Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree.

Admission Requirements

Students may apply for the Bachelor of Biblical Studies program if they have completed one of the following:

• A Biblical Diploma
• An Associate Degree in any field (biblical or secular)

Students who do not yet meet these requirements may complete the one-year Bible college program through AMES International School of Ministry (AISOM) to qualify for admission.

Program Structure

The BBS degree is completed by taking 11 courses within a chosen ministry concentration, totaling 33 credit hours.

Tuition:
$198 per 3-credit course
($66 per credit hour)

Students may take courses individually or progress through the program at their own pace.

Ministry Leadership Major

The Ministry Leadership Major prepares students for practical service in the Body of Christ. These concentrations provide focused training for specific areas of ministry leadership.

Students receive access to the ACU Virtual Campus where course materials, resources, and program information are available.

Step 3 – Begin Your First Course
You may start studying immediately. There are no semesters or waiting periods, allowing you to begin your studies right away and progress at your own pace.

Step 4 – Complete Your Courses
As you work through your courses and complete the required coursework, your credits are recorded toward your degree.

Step 5 – Move Toward Graduation
After completing the required courses for your chosen program, you will be eligible to receive your degree from AMES Christian University.
